11th International Festival The Pearl of Baroque- Masters’ Concerts

Pearl of Baroque - The Magic of Impressionism

NAZARENO FERRUGGIO

Nazareno Ferruggio belongs to highly tallented pianists. A list if his achievements – presented beneath- is convincing. However, it was a meeting with Him, listening to Him live and his distinctive musical gift resulted in a recital ahead of us.

In June 2017 Nazareno Ferruggio appeared in the 10th edition of the Pearl of Baroque Festival accompanying a Mexican tenor Baltazar Zuniga with a piano. A few soloist pieces, which were performed that evening sounded marvelous. It was the music of impressionism, that is why this year I asked Nazareno for his solo impressionist programme.

I am not the first person who appreciates him in this particular repertoire. Winning in a prestigous International Contest IBLA Grand Prize he received a special distinction for the very Debussy interpretation (those uninitiated I dare mention Debussy is an icon of music impressionism.

THE MAGIC OF IMPRESSIONISM is a recital which will take us to another world. Gentleness, fluency, tenderness of this music impresses many sensitive, not only music lovers. Undoubtedly, it will be the time of reflection and delight. I will try to add some surprise…

Here i will recall you that the Pearl of Baroque Festival was created to care for the culture of meeting magnificent art. But also to make people meet one another. We do not practise broadcasting, we focus on mutual experiencing, on the thrill which is not difficult to find at these concerts.
